FAM-U! FAM-U! I LOVE THEE
I’LL FIGHT AND WIN WHAT’ER THE BATTLE BE
I certainly enjoyed my time at Florida A&M University ín the '70's studing under the giants in the Department of Music and the industry -- Dr. William P. Foster, Dr. Lenard C. Bowie, Mr. Charles S. Bing, Mr. Richard Power (Composition/Arranger), Dr. Shaylor L. James, Dr. Julian E. White, Dr. John H. Daniels, Mr. Lindsey B. Sarjeant. Add in the mix, my bandmates in the 100: Trumputers (Dr.) Longineau Parsons, (Dr.) William McQueen, Professor Lindsey B. Sarjeant and (Dr.) Alfred Watkins of Georgia's Lassiter High School fame; Trombonist Robert U. Griffin, Mr. Elliot Seagraves, Ms. Debra Hines and Ms. Carmena Fennel to name a few of the students that help shape my life's pathway to success. I could not have had a finer undergraduate education experience with a superb level of competition. I said No to Florida, Florida State and Bethune-Cookman for a superior education.
