Alabama hires Mark Orphey (Texas Southern alum) as defensive analyst

Orphey and Cooper both have HBCU connections as either a player/alumnus or as former head coach in SWAC.

Source: Ron Cooper, a former head coach at Louisville, Eastern Michigan and Alabama A&M, is expected to join the Alabama staff in a support staff capacity.
