Amherst College Faces Bias Claims by Fired Black Lacrosse Coach

Coach Rashad Devoe was recruited from Hampton University where he served as the Pirates head men's Lax coach in 2019-20, to help Amherst solve the culture of racism and misogyny rooted in the team but then undermined and retaliated against him when he tried to do so, according to a lawsuit filed in Massachusetts federal court.  Devoe was fired before he coached his first game at the college.   Full bio
