Penn State running backs coach Ja'Jaun Seider, a former FAMU QB, has turned down a co-OC job at Florida State

The opportunity that coach Seider declined at Florida was a lateral move as the running backs coach.

The former West Virginia University backup QB was FAMU's starting QB in 1999 under legendary Coach Billy Joe.  Seider and Coach Joe lead FAMU to the FCS National Semifinals and had Youngstown State beaten by 11 points with 8 minutes to go.  The rest is history.  The Seider era ended with a 10-4 record, but the Rattlers smashed App State and Troy for FCS playoff wins.

Coach Seider is a native Floridian, growing up in muck city -- Belle Glade (Palm Beach County) and played football at perennial South Florida high school powerhouse, Glades Central.
