I totally agree with Jeff / hurting a kid like this from pursuing his goals is absurd .

How about this for some BS:
— Jeff Goodman (@GoodmanHoops) May 11, 2022
South Carolina State signee Jasteven Walker requested his release from his National Letter of Intent on April 11, immediately after coach Tony Madlock left for Alabama State.
School didn’t give an answer until this past Sunday, when it was DENIED.
The school wants Walker to meet with the new head coach, but there’s just one issue.

THEY STILL DON’T HAVE A HEAD COACH.
It’s been exactly one month since Madlock left.
C’mon, South Carolina State athletic director Stacy Danley. Just do the right thing and let him go. https://t.co/OMVtr8gJQU
The longer South Carolina State AD Stacy Danley takes to let Walker out of his National Letter of Intent, the more difficult it’s going to be for him to find a new spot.

It’s basically a given that every AD allows kids out of their LOI if they want following a coaching change. https://t.co/dqRDHIKIrg
Congratulations @JastevenW, an honor well deserved! @teamthadwalker @fayettewarehigh @AthleticsFCPS @CoachChearis @tonymadlock @WadeNoDwyane @coachwaller @Coachstephens1 @SCStateAthletic @johnvarlas @PrepHoopsTN pic.twitter.com/0jtmWdiAe0
