Fitch ordering city to deed over Smith-Wills (The Hank Aaron Sports Academy) property by September 30 | Anthony Warren and C.J. LeMaster
The Hank Aaron Sports Academy Stadium has been home of the Gulf Coast Conference (now the HBCU Athletic Conference) Baseball Championship tournament since 2022, located in the City of Jackson, Mississippi. The facility is managed under contract by Timothy Bennett, CEO of Overtime Sports, a certified Small Minority Business Enterprise (SMBE). Mr. Bennett is also Mississippi's first African American owner of a professional MLB affiliated team.
