Before the season began, the Morgan State football team took aim at capturing trophies, including the Battle for Greater Baltimore, the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference and the Celebration Bowl. The Bears routed Towson, 41-26, on Sept. 19 to claim the first trophy. Time will tell whether they can win the other two, but they are off to a 4-1 start — their best opening since the 2009 squad began 5-1. One might think this season validates coach Damon Wilson, who has slogged through three sub-.500 campaigns in his first four years. But he said there is no time to sit back and relax.
