TUSKEGEE -- After one game, Tuskegee's quarterback situation is back to unsettled. Coach Willie Slater said the Golden Tigers will re-evaluate their quarterback decision after Tuskegee struggled in a 33-19 season-opening loss to Langston on Saturday.
"We have some work to do at quarterback," Slater said. "I'll say it like that. We'll look at film and see what really happened, then we'll decide."
Junior Jeremy Williams played the first half and was 9-for-16 for 144 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. Sophomore Terry Bradden played the second half and finished 6-of-19 for 43 yards.
"It's a competition, and I have faith in both of them," receiver Wayne Williams said. "Both can throw the ball and run the ball. We'll try to see who can manage the game better. That's the key."

Langston is 2-0 under first-year coach Mickey Joseph. The Lions stunned Tuskegee (Ala.) 33-19 in its home opener Saturday.
Tailback Carlos Ross ran for 115 yards on 20 carries for Langston, which beat an NCAA Division II program that has won four of the last five Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championships. Langston, which plays its first-five games on the road, will play Missouri Western in St. Joseph at 11 a.m. next Saturday.
Last week, the Lions defeated NCAA Division I, University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions in the season opener in Little Rock, Arkansas. NAIA Langston Defeats UAPB Golden Lions
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Former Nebraska quarterback Mickey Joseph's debut are Langston University football coach started with the kind of surprise that would have even made his old coach smile.
It wasn't as imaginative as the Tom Osborne's Fumblerooskis. And for boldness, it wasn't in the same galaxy as going for victory instead of a tie that would ensure a national title. Heck, Langston's onside kick on the first play of its 19-12 victory Saturday night at Arkansas-Pine Bluff didn't even lead to a scores.
But Joseph's decision, Langston's execution and linebacker Robert Thomas' recovery sure made an interesting first impression at Langston this season.
"We let them know right away that we wasn't playing with them," said Joseph, who quarterbacked Langston to nine victories in 1990, "that we was going to use everything in the book to win the football game. We wanted them to start thinking a little bit. We wanted them to start scrambling, and when you do that to a team, you take them out of the game plan right away."

Alcorn's defense scores three TD's in 50-27 win
LORMAN, MS — The Alcorn State defense prides itself on being an aggressive bunch with a nose for the football and a reputation on wreaking havoc. And that was never more the case than in the Braves’ 50-27 victory over Langston Saturday. The Alcorn defense scored three defensive touchdowns, recorded a safety, and set the offense up inside the 5-yard line after turnovers on two other occasions.
“Defensive coordinator Zach Shay does an awesome job with instilling that attitude,” Alcorn head coach Earnest Collins said. “We call it BIA, Best in America, at hustle. It’s not about athletic ability, but 100 percent about hustle. He preaches that every day.” And Alcorn State needed every one of those defensive scores, as the Braves offense sputtered for a majority of the game.

Grambling vs. Langston
Ethan Conley kept a running diary of Grambling's 13-2 win over Langston on Saturday:
FIRST QUARTER
15:00 It's 85 degrees and sunny at Robinson Stadium, and we're poised for a titanic matchup between two explosive offenses ... ah, who I am kidding?
This should be a blowout in GSU's favor.
11:59: Grambling's Dezmond Spivey boots the first punt of the game. You'll understand the significance soon enough.
11:43: Grambling dodges a bullet. Langston tight end Donald Hill was wide open behind the Grambling defense only he never knew it. Hill never turned around to look for Danny Lowery's pass, which fell harmlessly to the ground. Had he caught the ball Hill may have coasted to the end zone untouched. Unfortunately, this won't come close to being the most inept offensive play of the game.
9:41 : Kiare Thompson's 32-yard punt return gives Grambling the ball at the Langston 26.
