The class includes 10 players on offense, four on defense and one specialist. Nine of the new Bears are from the state of Maryland (including Washington, D.C.), with two from Pennsylvania, and two from Georgia. Others are from Michigan and California.
The Bears class includes five on the offensive line, including Eligah Hunter a standout prospect from Friendship Collegiate Academy, who was the final prospect to officially sign with the Bears.
"Offensive line was our biggest need heading into the offseason," said Hull. "Our class of O-lineman is one of the best in the Football Championship Subdivision."
The Bears also landed a pair of outstanding running backs in Josh Chase and Dante Butler. MSU also filled needs at quarterback, receiver and tight end.
"We signed two of the top four running backs in the state of Maryland."
On the defensive side of the ball, the Bears signed two linebackers, a pair of defensive backs and added a placekicker on special teams.
"Nine of our 15 recruits were from in-state," Hull said. "My goal was to have 70 percent of our players come from the DMV area and this class reflects the philosophy of our program. We've established a clear identity in recruiting, and finding in-state talent is a priority."
