CSU Annual Golf Classic -September 24, 2007, 8 a.m. Shotgun
Increasing in population, the 7th Annual Golf Classic now attracts golfers of all levels who support this event that mixes business with pleasure. Our supporters welcome the opportunity to learn more about the institution through conversations on the greens. This year's activities includes additional elements to further the enjoyment of all.
The primary purpose of our Golf Classic is to enhance financial resource opportunities for as many students as possible. Unfortunately, many of our students find that the ever-increasing cost of education, coupled with the reduction in federal, state and local dollars earmarked for scholarships, requires that they balance their academic load with the need to work. Some students decide to postpone or cancel altogether the pursuit of their educational goals when the financial burden becomes too heavy.
A second purpose of the event is to give our supporters an opportunity to connect with faculty, staff and other members of the Coppin family.
Finally, the classic is being held this year, as in years past, to celebrate good times, to eat great food, and to enjoy great company.
