Coppin State University names head volleyball coach



BALTIMORE -- Former Coppin State assistant coach Rich Zwolinski has been promoted to head coach of the Eagle volleyball program announced Director of Athletics Dr. Mary Wanza.

Zwolinski served as an assistant coach under Don Metil during the 2006 season prior to being named the CSU head coach.

Zwolinski began his coaching career in 2002 as an assistant coach at Old Mill High School in Millersville, Md. In 2003, he continued to serve with the Patriots while also holding the head coaching position for the Annapolis Area Christian boy's team. In 2004, he became the head coach at Old Mill, a position he held through 2006.

A Maryland native, Zwolinski graduated from Broadneck High School in Arnold, Md., in 1996. He earned his bachelor's degree in math from UMBC in 2001 and is currently pursuing a master's degree in computer science from Loyola College (Md.).
