Delta Devils continue early season conditioning

Itta Bena, MS - The Mississippi Valley State University Dela Devils football team continued preseason condition as they hit the track at Rice-Totten Stadium for a mile run. In the mid-day, the participated in a light workout in helmets during which time they worked on alignments, breaking the huddle and route running, while the evening session consisted on team and position meetings along with weight training.

Coach Willie Totten, a College Football Hall of Fame inductee, said "overall we're pretty pleased. We threw the ball around a little and worked on some assignments; the guys are working hard but best of all they have good attitudes. We are really pleased with the effort, excited by the enthusiasm."

MVSU will open its season September 1st when they host the Golden Lions of the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff at 1 p.m. in a SWAC contest.
