Morgan State clinches share of MEAC title
DOVER -- It probably was midweek when it occurred to Delaware State men's basketball coach Greg Jackson how his team might beat its next opponent, Morgan State. He had to contend with one of the highest-scoring teams in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. Jackson also had a feeling he'd be without DSU's leading scorer, senior Roy Bright.
It meant that Jackson would have to emphasize his possession-style offense even more than usual. And in one of the lowest-scoring games in his eight-year tenure as coach, a 39-36 loss to Morgan State at Memorial Hall on Saturday, his method nearly worked.
