Nynneya Columbus, the outstanding distance runner from Port Richmond HS, has accepted a full athletic scholarship to Morgan State University, the Advance has learned. Columbus is undecided about a college major.
Columbus had a solid senior season. She was PR’s top cross country runner and led the Raiders to their first-ever city PSAL and Island championship.
Last year, she won the PSAL indoor 3,000-meter run, and this year has taken the Island cross country and indoor 3,000 crowns, as well as several Island PSAL titles.
