MONTGOMERY, Alabama - Alabama State reached the midway point of its spring workouts on Friday with a scrimmage highlighted by the offense.
The Hornets held their first of three scrimmages on Friday and the offense looked in midseason form, torching one of the Southwestern Athletic Conference’s best defenses for seven touchdowns while committing just one turnover in an hour-long workout that covered 69 plays.
“I feel like we won the battle up front,” quarterback Greg Jenkins said, “and when you do that, everything else is like seven-on-seven out there.”
