BATON ROUGE, Louisiana - The 2011 college baseball season has started winding down, but it’s only getting started for former Grambling State coach Wilbert Ellis.As he’s done for nearly 15 years now, Ellis will again serve as director of NCAA regional and super regional tournaments this postseason. He starts his tourney action today as director of the Baton Rouge Regional hosted by LSU.
Louisiana-Monroe, Oregon State and Belmont are the other three teams in the LSU Regional. Belmont plays Oregon State this afternoon to open things up before LSU and Louisiana-Monroe face off tonight.
