She will succeed interim President Esther Terry, who has been in charge at the school since the departure of former President Julianne Malveaux last year.
According to an announcement from Bennett, Fuse-Hall has nearly 25 years of experience in higher education, serving currently as interim executive director of Title III Programs at Florida A&M University and chief of staff to President James Ammons.
Before going to FAMU, she was executive assistant to the chancellor at N.C. Central University. She has also been the corporate secretary to the UNC Board of Governors, associate dean in the College of Arts and Sciences at UNC-Chapel Hill and director of minority affairs at St. Lawrence University.
