Brandon Farmer, a former two-sport standout at Vanguard High, recently signed in basketball with St. Augustine’s (N.C.) University after spending one season at South Carolina-Salkehatchie.
“Going up there worked out a lot better than I thought it would,” said Farmer, who averaged 3.3 points and 2.3 assists in helping his program qualify for the NJCAA National Tournament. “I’m excited about (moving on). (St. Augustine’s) is in a great city (Raleigh) and I am excited about the opportunity.”
Farmer, who played point guard in his first year in junior college, will now have three seasons to play for St. Augustine’s, which is a NCAA Division II school and plays in the CIAA.
