WINSTON-SALEM, North Carolina -- I bet there aren’t a lot of Division II football programs that have received the national television exposure that Winston-Salem State has received and will receive.
Last season the Rams final two games in the Division II semifinals and the national championship game were televised on ESPN2. And now the Rams opener, scheduled for Sept. 5 at UNC Pembroke at 8 p.m., will be televised on the CBS Sports Network.
That network is available in Winston-Salem on channel 537 (TimeWarner Cable). The game will also be shown on DirecTV on channel 613.
What makes it even better for WSSU and for UNC Pembroke is that the game is on a Thursday night.
