Florida A&M Rattlers check in for football camp

TALLAHASSEE, Florida  --  One of the most anticipated seasons for the FAMU football program officially got under way Sunday without much fanfare, as the Rattlers checked in to begin the Earl Holmes era.

“It’s here,” Holmes said, wearing jeans and a T-shirt as he sat in the lobby of Galimore Fieldhouse and waited for players to check in. “Football is here. No doubt about it.

“You look around and you see the predictions and projections on who is going to finish where and you know it’s here. This is where we have to work with the fundamentals and start building your foundation on who you’re going to be in 2013.”
