WINSTON-SALEM, North Carolina -- For the summertime where news usually slows down at Winston-Salem State there were plenty of developments the last two weeks.One of the most significant was that WSSU is closer to owning Bowman Gray Stadium. This is a big deal because for many years, thanks to a bad lease agreement with the city, the athletics department struggled to make money at home games.
That should change once WSSU owns the stadium because it will get more of the revenue that’s generated.
