JACKSON, Mississippi -- Jackson State defensive coordinator Derrick Burroughs is putting a lot of pressure on Preston Hughes and Ryan Griffin.
The duo has gotten the most reps at safety during spring practice, and Burroughs expects them to lead on the field.
“This is a new defense for the both of us,” Burroughs said. “I’ve kind of put it on their shoulders, they’re the two guys that I always go to after practice and ... make sure they staying on their playbook.”
