DECATUR, Alabama -- The Mississippi Valley State softball team will have to wait an extra day before they can find out if they'll be playing for a ninth SWAC Tournament championship in the last 11 years.
It was announced Friday morning that the semifinal round of the SWAC Softball Tournament has been rescheduled to Saturday at Wilson Morgan Park. The Devilettes will face rival Jackson State at 2 p.m. for the second time of the tournament and the fifth time in the last two weeks. If MVSU loses in the 2 p.m. game on Saturday, then they'll have another shot at JSU in the 5:30 p.m. game against the Lady Tigers.
Meanwhile, the championship game has been rescheduled for Sunday at 10 a.m.
A win Saturday will put MVSU in the championship game against either Texas Southern or Prairie View A&M.
