MONROE, Louisiana -- Eleven more Grambling greats were officially inducted into the Grambling Legends Hall of Fame on Saturday in Monroe, recognizing the university’s storied athletics past.
Ten of those former Tigers made their marks on the football field, basketball court, baseball diamond or oval track, but only one inductee can say she was the “First Lady of Football.”
Doris Robinson, wife of legendary GSU coach Eddie Robinson, highlighted the incoming class as an athletics contributor.
The 10 other honorees include five football, two baseball and two basketball.
Running back Leroy Carter (1963-66) was a three-time All-SWAC who led the Tigers in rushing in 1964 with 714 yards.
