JACKSONVILLE, Florida -- For the first time since 2013, the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Basketball Championships will return to Florida's First Coast as Edward Waters College has been selected as the host institution for the 37th edition of the conference's showcase event.
All eight of the conference's men's & women's basketball teams will compete for conference supremacy and a berth in the 2019 NAIA Division I Basketball Tournament. The Championships will take place March 1-March 3, 2019 at both the Adams-Jenkins Community Sports & Music Complex and the newly acquired James Weldon Johnson Basketball Gymnasium.
This will be the third time in conference & school history that the Championships have been held in Jacksonville as Edward Waters hosted the 2012 and 2013 events.
