INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana –The Bowie State University football team received official notification late Sunday (11/11) afternoon after hearing the Bulldogs named announced for a berth into the NCAA Division II Super Region 2 playoffs for the second consecutive season. The Bulldogs (9-2) will host its second straight home football playoff game and will face the Tigers of West Alabama University (8-3).

"It was a great accomplishment to win the CIAA Championship yesterday and put ourselves in position to host a D2 Region playoff again", said Bowie State head coach Damon Wilson. "I haven't done too much film study on West Alabama but know they're a real good program … We'll get started breaking down film tonight."
Bowie State hosted Delta State in 2017, falling to the Delta State Statemen by a score of 45-35.
The top seed Valdosta State (10-0) will have a first-round bye. In other Super Region 2 matchups, #2 West Georgia (10-1) will host #7 Wingate and #3 Lenoir-Rhyne will host Florida Tech.
All games will be played on the host campus and will kickoff at 12 noon or a time selected by the host.
