Jackson State will run its own version of the NFL Combine as part of its offseason workout program. Strength and conditioning coach Derek Scott will run the four-day session starting April 28. "It looks like a great, great program he's got," JSU football coach Rick Comegy said. "I just want us to be stronger ... where I see a muscle in their ear.

"I just know everybody else is eating iron at this time. We're the bull's-eye. They've picked up their momentum and we've got to pick up ours. We can't just lie idle and be happy where we are. We have to surpass what they do."
