Savannah, Georgia - Savannah State University’s offense showed improvement during the Tigers’ second preseason scrimmage Saturday night.
A crowd of approximately 300 at Memorial Stadium watched as starting quarterback A.J. DeFilippis was 18-of-30 passing for 210 yards, including a 20-yard touchdown to tight end Desmond Gantt; freshman running back Chris Strong ran for 75 yards, including a 5-yard touchdown, on six carries; and senior Derek Williams kicked field goals of 47, 42 and 54 yards.
