Saadia Doyle paced HU, recording her seventh double-double of the season, finishing with a game high of 18 points and 10 rebounds. Tamoria Holmes tallied 16 points and three assist while Cheyenne Curley-Payne chipped in with nine assists, and four steals 12 points – all from the charity stripe. Zykia Brown added ten points, and Nicole Deterville grabbed a game-best and season-high of 12 boards.

To jump into the second half, Curley-Payne stole the ball and dished out an assist to Holmes for a lay-up 16 seconds in. Howard proceeded to extend the lead to 12, 33-21, by the 18:39 mark. The Bison's lead was halted from a three-ball by Kayla Grossett. HU then answered with a bucket by Doyle with 17:53 left in the contest.
By the 14:46 mark, the Mount closed the gap to one, 35-34. Mount St. Mary's knotted the score at 35 from a foul shot by Grossett, then took its first advantage of the match with the second free-throw, 36-35.
At 13:07, Howard tied and recaptured the lead (37-36) from a pair at the stripe by Doyle.
From there, HU held its ground and slid away with its eighth consecutive win.

The Mountaineers were led by Grossett who finished with 14 points in 22 minutes of action. Christie contributed 12 points, while Sydney Henderson added 10.
Howard will return home to close out its non-conference slate with NJIT on Jan 5. Game-time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
