NASHVILLE, Tennessee - Tennessee State University football closed out its final scrimmage of spring on a beautiful Saturday morning. The Tigers shift to the final week of spring activity before culminating with the annual Blue-White spring game on Saturday afternoon.
The Tigers held out a few players in order to get healthy for next weekend's spring game. Coach Rod Reed saw some sluggish performances on Saturday, but is optimistic the Tigers will come out strong next weekend.

TSU returns to the practice field next Monday, Wednesday and Friday with 4pm scheduled practices.
On Friday, April 13 the Tennessee State hosts the annual Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie Celebrity Slam Jam. Tickets are $15 in advance for adults and $10 for children. They can be purchased online at Ticketmaster.com or by calling the TSU Ticket Office at 615-963-5841.
Spring game festivities begin with the Legends Game against Vanderbilt at 1 p.m. inside Hale Stadium. At the conclusion of that inaugural event, the Tigers host the Blue-White Spring Game at 3:30 p.m. National radio pundit Donal Ware and Boxtorow will broadcast live from Hale Stadium and will talk to numerous guests during the show. Admission to Saturday's events is free.
