WINSTON-SALEM, North Carolina -- It’s been a long week for everybody associated with Winston-Salem State.It most definitely has been a long week around the athletics department after one of its football players, quarterback Rudy Johnson, was attacked by Virginia State players at a CIAA luncheon last Friday afternoon in a bathroom at the Anderson Center.
One player for the Trojans was arrested, and the aftermath caused the cancellation of what would have been a terrific CIAA championship game.
Well, a week has passed and now WSSU is trying to focus on the Division II playoffs.
