SALISBURY, North Carolina -- Livingstone College (No. 8), the 2014 CIAA Men's Basketball Champions, will face the NCAA Div. II top seed East Stroudsburg University, in the NCAA DII regional quarterfinals. The Blue Bears finished their 2013-14 season with their first ever CIAA Championship, back-to-back Southern Division titles, and a 21-7 regular season record. Livingstone returns to the NCAA tournament for the second consecutive time in school history.
The Warriors, who won the PSAC Championship for the second time in three years, finished their regular season 28-1. ESU returns to familiar post season territory, making their fourth appearance in five years.
The four regional quarterfinal games will be played on Saturday, March 15, followed by semifinal games on Sunday and the Atlantic Region final on Tuesday, March 18.
The eight regional winners from across Division II will advance to the NCAA DII Elite Eight in Evansville, Indiana on March 26-29.
