The wiry 60-year-old, who celebrated a birthday two weeks ago, gave his team a passing mark following Saturday morning's spirited scrimmage.
It was an up-tempo, organized, 80-play session – two hours of scripted plays and important steps towards changing the program's culture.
There's no way to tell if the Rattlers are any closer to winning consistently. Not in April.
However, it's also obvious Wood has a detailed plan. September will be here in a hurry.
Wood, hired last December, wants to ensure that his team has a vision and realizes its potential.
