The 2015 season kicks off in September, and the winner of the East and West Divisions will meet in the SWAC Football Championship Game. The victor will earn the conference title and a chance to play in the all new Celebration Bowl.
Last season, Alcorn State and Southern played in front of a Championship crowd of 39,583 which was fifth best out of eight football FBS and FCS conference championship games.
Special events around the football championship weekend will kick off with the SWAC Hall of Fame Reception on Thursday, Dec. 3 at the Westin Galleria Hotel. In addition, a Saturday postgame concert along with a full schedule of events will be available this fall.
