MONTGOMERY, Alabama -- Former Alabama State offensive coordinator Fred Kaiss made his return to ASU Stadium on Saturday, but this time in the same position for Alcorn State.
Kaiss enters his first season as the Braves offensive coordinator after spending four seasons at ASU.
In 2013, the Hornets averaged 36.8 points per game and 430.2 yards per game. The Hornets were best in the SWAC and 14th in the nation in rushing at 231.5 yards per game.
The Braves gained 166 yards on the ground in last Saturday’s loss to Georgia Tech, and rushed for 155 yards Saturday against Alabama State.
No repeat performance: The Hornets were void of big plays throughout the game, unlike their 82-yard touchdown pass on the first play from scrimmage last week
