GRAMBLING, Louisiana — Grambling's motto under coach Broderick Fobbs is to worry about the present day. Nothing in the past matters and everything in the future is irrelevant.
Well, the future is here now. Grambling can wrap up the Southwestern Athletic Conference West Division championship this weekend with a road win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
The prize is in sight, but still, Grambling is downplaying the magnitude of a potential division-clinching win.
"To be honest with you, we're not even thinking about it. The message is win this game. The message is Pine Bluff. The message is the hurdle in front of us right now," Grambling offensive line coach Reggie Nelson said Monday. "You win and you win then you win then you know what the possibility and the outcome is going to be."
