ELIZABETH CITY, North Carolina -- Elizabeth City State University has ousted head football coach Earnest J. Wilson following a 4-6 record last season, according to a press release from the university.“We thank Coach Wilson for his service to our team, and to the ECSU family and we wish him the best,” Chancellor Thomas Conway said in the release. “ECSU is heading in a new direction and we are excited about what’s ahead.”
In addition to its season record, ECSU’s football team finished with a 2-4 record in its conference, the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association.
