Former Michigan quarterback Forcier headed to S.C. State?
S.C. State, Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference rival Florida A&M and Montana were the three Football Championship Subdivision schools Forcier mentioned as destinations. He also told the news outlet that Football Bowl Subdivision schools Miami, Washington, Baylor, San Diego State, New Mexico and Middle Tennessee State are also under consideration, although enrolling there would require him to sit out a year.
Tate Forcier Transfer Options Include Miami, Washington, Florida A&M and South Carolina State
Former Michigan Wolverines quarterback Tate Forcier, who infamously sent out multiple tweets to announce he was transferring from the school, has announced a list that could include his next landing spot. Forcier is considering a wide range of schools that includes Washington, Miami, New Mexico, San Diego State, Middle Tennessee State and Baylor. Plus he is considering a few FCS schools in Montana, South Carolina State and Florida A&M.
Forcier is planning on looking for his next school immediately:
Tate Forcier mulls next move
Former Michigan quarterback Tate Forcier said Tuesday that Miami, Washington, Baylor, San Diego State, Middle Tennessee State and New Mexico are among the FBS schools he is considering transferring to. Forcier said he is also considering lower-division schools such as Montana, South Carolina State and Florida A&M.
"I'm really just looking for the best situation and the best opportunity," Forcier said. "I have a few schools at all levels that I'm interested in. I'm going to set up all my visits as early as possible because all the schools are already wanting me to come visit starting this weekend."

Michigan Wolverines 63, Delaware State Hornets 6
Attendance: 106,304 @ Michigan Stadium, Ann Arbor, MI
DSU never had a chance in game that was lopsided from the get-go
Nothing about Saturday worked out for Delaware State. Only half the team was on the field for the national anthem. The Hornets had only one first down -- on a Michigan penalty. The defense allowed 28 points. They had a punt blocked and returned for a touchdown. Then they got to breathe, because the first quarter was over. While Delaware State, a Football Championship Subdivision (I-AA) team, found more of a rhythm as the game progressed, the Hornets appeared severely overmatched, losing to Michigan, 63-6, at Michigan Stadium.
"We came to play an outstanding football team and an outstanding football team showed up," Delaware State coach Al Lavan said. "Essentially, except for moments in the third quarter, they dominated us -- with our help. Make no mistake about it, Michigan played just like they played on the DVDs. ... I was not shocked, but I was surprised at how much the domination was." The Wolverines (5-2, 1-2 Big Ten) set a modern school record for total offense with 727 yards, tied a record with the 28 first-quarter points and set another with 442 yards in the first half.
Wild day: Delaware St. loses twice, gets $550K
Two losses in one day won't seem so bad once Delaware State checks its bank balance. The Hornets lost to Michigan in Ann Arbor on Saturday, a game they agreed to play despite having a previously scheduled conference game the same day. By rule, the Hornets were forced to forfeit their contest against fellow Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference foe North Carolina A&T, giving them two losses in one day. The reason for the double-booking? Michigan paid Delaware State $550,000 to give up the loss and make the trip to the Big House.
The far superior Wolverines squad had little trouble against the second-tier program, posting a 63-6 drubbing. The Wolverines (5-2) set team marks with 442 yards in the first half and 727 total in the game. They matched a school record with a 28-point first quarter and led 49-3 with their second-highest score by halftime.

No good comes from this game
If you made a list of the 10 dumbest things ever done by university administrators, Delaware State's decision to play Michigan would be Nos. 1-5. It was so dumb that nobody from the school can (or will) explain the anatomy of a football deal that forces it to forfeit a conference game. DSU has to forfeit its Oct. 17 game against North Carolina A&T because school negotiators somehow forgot to rearrange the team's existing schedule.
The truly unnerving part of this story is that other schools might be tempted to copy Delaware State. Just take the money, stick it to the conference schedule, plead stupidity and cash the check.

Thou Art Greedy: What price Delaware State's soul?
Holly: Today on our bully pulpit agenda: Delaware State, a I-AA program, is forfeiting a conference game to North Carolina A&T because Delaware State wants to play Michigan instead. And by "wants," I mean they have the opportunity to cash in for a bodybag appearance in Ann Arbor in mid-October. All anyone's saying is the two MEAC schools "could not agree" on a date to reschedule the game, and now NCA&T is 1-0. In May.
What say you, gents? Is a big payday worth it if you're being paid to fall down in front of a powerhouse team? (Or in front of Michigan?)
Doug: Well, you know, that's what everybody thought about Appalachian State, too...
Holly: I was gonna say.
Doc: The ghost of Appalachian State will never die! But I'm not sure it's worth actually forfeiting a win to chase a ghost. Or a gazillion dollars. Or whatever it is.
