NORFOLK, Virginia -- Former Booker T. Washington star football player and coach Calvert “Cal” Davidson has died after a long illness. He was 77.
Davidson was an all-state football player for the Bookers. He also led the University of Maryland-Eastern Shore to two CIAA championships.
Davidson coached many sports and many athletes at Booker T. Washington, including NFL Hall of Famer Bruce Smith.
