Houston, TX - Texas Southern handled Texas College with ease to earn its first win, beating the NAIA program 49-6 Saturday night at Butler Stadium.
The Tigers (1-1) jumped out to a 28-0 lead in the first half and piled on more from there.
TSU torched Texas College's defense for 503 yards. Quarterback Riko Smalls filled in admirably for injured starter Dantavious Parker, throwing for 290 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for a score.
