TALLAHASSEE, Florida -- FAMU men’s basketball coach Clemon Johnson could face disciplinary action depending on the outcome of an investigation into a fight that occurred following last Thursday night’s game against Stetson at the Lawson Center.
It is unclear who all was involved in the altercation, but multiple people contacted the Democrat over the weekend and stated that it involved members of both coaching staffs.
The witnesses also expressed outrage about the late start of the game, which was scheduled for a 7 p.m. tip but didn’t actually get under way until 8:20 p.m.
Shortly after the game, several people were seen pushing their way back from the causeway to the visitors’ locker room, while security officers moved in to quell the incident, which lasted about five minutes.
