INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana -- To no surprise, Indianapolis Colts offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton is in the running for a head coaching job.
Hamilton, who just completed his first season running the Colts' offense, is a candidate for the Vanderbilt head coaching job, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Tuesday night. Vanderbilt is looking for replacement for James Franklin, who left to coach Penn State last weekend.
Hamilton, who has college and NFL coaching experience, is a smart coach who the players easily gravitated to.
Did he deserve grief for some of his play calls last season?
