GRAMBLING, Louisiana -- Grambling State University’s athletic programs will get a boost in the fall after students recently approved an athletics fee that university officials say will generate an additional $1 million annually.After students voted against the athletics fee last year, GSU officials launched an awareness campaign to show the need for another mandatory fee. Students approved the fee late last week with an 820 to 230 vote.
The fee will become effective in the fall. Each student will be assessed $100 per semester.
