NORFOLK, Virginia -- Rae Corbo scored 29 points Saturday to lead the Norfolk State women to an easy 82-58 MEAC win over North Carolina Central.
Freshman forward Kayla Roberts added 18 points for the Spartans (5-11, 4-1), who built a 38-22 lead by halftime and cruised from there to win their third straight.
Racquel Davis led N.C. Central (3-14, 1-4) with 17 points.
Corbo, a senior guard from Englewood, N.J., improved upon her league-leading average of 20.9 points per game. Sophomore forward Nia Roberts scored six points and pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds for NSU, which shot 47.7 percent from the field, made 5 of 12 (41.7 percent) from 3-point range and led for more than 37 minutes.
