GREENSBORO, North Carolina -- The math isn’t hard.
N.C. A&T has two football games left in the regular season. If the Aggies win one, they share the MEAC championship. If they win two, they win the title outright.
So the chase for the league’s berth in the inaugural Celebration Bowl — a matchup between MEAC and SWAC champions Dec. 19 in Atlanta — comes down to two teams that control their own destinies.
A&T (8-1, 6-0 MEAC) hosts winless Delaware State (0-9, 0-6) at 1 p.m. today at Aggie Stadium.
N.C. Central (6-3, 5-1) plays at Howard (1-8, 1-5) today.
Barring an upset in either game today, the MEAC race will come down to a winner-take-all Aggie-Eagle Classic game next Saturday in Greensboro.
