HBCU Play: The wins keep coming for North Carolina A&T
ATLANTA, Georgia -- HBCU PLAY is a prime source for the latest information on historically black colleges and university athletics. The weekly program breaks down impact games throughout the various conferences, includes featuring stories, interviews, and recognizes student athletes for their work within the community.
Episode 6 = North Carolina A&T had a huge win over FBS East Carolina Sunday 28-23. The Aggies headed home this week ranked No. 5 nationally in the STATS FCS poll and No. 6 nationally in the NCAA FCS Coaches poll. NCA&T is ranked higher than their week 1 opponent Jacksonville State – who is listed as No. 13 in the STATS FCS poll and No. 12 in the NCAA FCS Coaches poll. Longtime HBCU sports journalist Charlie Neal joins HBCU Play to chat about the momentum of the Aggies and other big wins across HBCU’s. Also, head coach of the Morehouse Maroon Tigers (SIAC) Rich Freeman joins Sam and Lericia to discuss his team’s victory over Arkansas-Pine Bluff (SWAC).
