NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana -- The Morgan State volleyball team bounced back from a tough five-set loss earlier in the morning, to sweep host New Orleans, 3-0 (25-19, 25-23, 25-16) in the finale of the New Orleans Invitational at the Human Performance Center.
Zoe McBride tallied 18 kills to go with seven digs, two blocks and three service aces, as Morgan State closed out the weekend going 3-1 and improved to 1-2 all-time against the Privateers.
Cristen Coryatt totaled 16 kills and had eight digs, while Kalysia Bates totaled 13 kills and finished with a match-high .611 hitting percentage. Roi Wallace finished with a match-high 40 assists and Jasmin Hubbard collected a match-high 17 digs.
New Orleans (6-5) was led by Kaitlyn Grice, who had eight kills, and Brianna Vega had seven kills. Blessing Dunn led the team with 10 digs and Sarah Thomas finished with 20 assists.
