ALBANY, Georgia -- The Spring Hill College (SHC) volleyball team defeated SIAC East Division foe Benedict College to conclude play at the SIAC Cross-Over tournament on Saturday. The Badgers claimed the victory by scores of 25-11, 25-14, and 27-25.
SHC's Offense was again dominant at the net as the Badgers outhit Benedict .330 to .112 in attack percentage. SHC also connected for 7 service aces.
The Badger offensive attack was led by Kassandra Fairly who hammered home 16 kills. Sarah Senft also hit double digits in kills with 12 while Allison Weimer and Payton Gidney had 6 apiece. Emmarose Neibert dished out a weekend high 44 assists to quarterback the Badger offensive attack. Cassidi Sterrett led the defensive effort with 13 digs while Randi DeArmitt added 9 digs from the back line.

"Good effort in first two sets, unfortunately big letdown in set 3," said Head Coach Peggy Martin. "Made plays when set on the line which is a positive. Freshman Kassandra Fairly continues to be a force offensively."
The Badgers (16-3, 11-0 SIAC) will return to action when they host the William Carey University Crusaders at 6:00 p.m. on October 9th.
