TALLAHASSEE, Florida -- When the college football season began, no one expected Florida A&M to compete for a MEAC title, yet alone turn in a winning record.
The expectation was the Rattlers found the right man for the job in Willie Simmons and it would take him a year or two to find success.
Surprise! That success is already on the Rattlers' doorstep.
FAMU sits in first place with a 4-0 conference record, needing just two more wins to clinch a MEAC title.
But, Simmons isn't taking the home-stretch lightly, saying the final four games are a playoff to the real postseason.
