WINSTON-SALEM, North Carolina -- It was a like blur, these last four football seasons.I’ve known for awhile that time goes by faster as you age but it’s hard to grasp just how fast time has gone by in the case of Winston-Salem State football.
From those dark days of going 1-10 in 2009 to nearly winning the Division II national championship in 2012 is something that I will likely not ever see again.
That’s what I was thinking a lot about today as I watched Connell Maynor go through his final press conference at WSSU. He’s heading to Hampton with his “big boy pants” to try and take the MEAC by storm just as he did in the CIAA.
